How to Update Windows Drivers

First of all just head on to your hardware manufacturer’s website and find your device driver’s We are insisting to visit that website because it is the only trusted source to download drivers.

Extract the downloaded files

Usually, driver files are a set of compressed files containing plus various driver files and other auxiliary files necessary to get the driver installed that need an extraction software,

Extract those files to the folder which you just downloaded

Open Device manager

Now head on to your Device Manager. You can open it by opening it from the Control Panel. We think this should be pretty simple till now.

Now find the device for which you want to update the drivers

Once you are sure about the device for which you want an update, the next step is to find out your version of windows.

Finding your windows version

  • If you are running Windows 10 & 8 just right-click on the hardware’s name or icon and choose Update Driver (W10) or Update Driver Software… (W8).
  • If running Windows 7 & Vista, just press your right mouse button on the hardware’s name or icon, and then choose Properties, and then the Driver tab, followed by the Update Driver button

After this, The Update Driver Software wizard will start, which will guide you through the driver update process until the end.
